Zoning and Road Modernization in Norma, Brotmanville

The effort to remove industrial zoning from Norma-Brotmanville area is growing majorly popular as investments in residential rehab prove more economically successful.

This means that negatively impactful projects, like a so-called "Mega Warehouse", will even further be banned from this area.

Mega warehouses and heavy truck traffic can still be added to towns such as Elmer, Centerton, Willow Grove, and Shirley Road area where residing republican leaders Kevin Yeagle, William Schmidt, Linda Dubois, and Chuck Hughes already have verbally supported and/or voted for polluting industrial projects.

But as for Norma - Brotmanville, Mega Warehouses and other dirty projects are strictly off the table as leaders and residents from these towns alike despise such intrusive projects to a major degree.

Another effort gaining traction recently will add “speed tables” on Gershal Ave to discourage speeding and heavy truck traffic.

A speed table, sometimes called speed hump, is a large plateau of asphalt added to a town's main street which enforces safe travel speeds and deters dangerous truck traffic.

Seen below, a speed table installed to High Street in Glassboro improves the economic vitality and quality of life along the towns central corridor:

Speed tables have already been added to a county road in Mansfield North Jersey, where it appears to successfully boost the economy of a colony town like Normal, along with offering a higher quality of life for residents.
